SACRAMENTS

"When two or three are gathered in my name I am present" (Matthew 18:20).

The purpose of the sacraments are to sanctify us, to build up the body of Christ (the Church) and to give worship to God – Catechism of the Catholic Church no. 1123.

BAPTISM

Be baptised every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ (Acts 2:38).

Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to the life in the spirit and the door which gives access to the other sacraments

At Resurrection Parish we generally baptism Children on the first Saturday of the month at 12 noon except in January.

CONFIRMATION

RECONCILLIATION

Be Reconciled to God (2 Cor 5:20).

The sacrament of Reconciliation brings about the restoration of the dignity and blessings of the life of the children of God

First Rite Reconciliation is celebrated on the first Saturday of the month except in January. There is also a second Rite of reconciliation celebrated in the last week of Lent.

MARRIAGE

EUCHARIST

This is my body which is given for you

ANOINTING OF THE SICK

If anyone is sick let them call for the priest of the Church (James 5:14).

 

The anointing of the sick commends all those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them
