For more than 19 years, the first Wednesday of the month has been Resurrection Parish's Meeting Night. It is the night when all of our parish groups come together.

It's not a huge commitment. Just one year, from Pentecost to Pentecost, for a total of 10 meetings. There are no meetings in January, and December is our time to celebrate at the Parish Social.

All we want is a little bit of your time and fresh ideas. No contribution is too big or too small. Here is a typical meeting night agenda:

  • 7.15 pm – the meeting begins with prayer, followed by any announcements.

  • 7.30 pm – each group meets separately for one hour.

  • 8.30 pm – everyone gathers for supper.

You can be home by 9 pm, or even 8.45 pm if you are really pressed for time! We encourage you to reflect on how each of the following applies to you:

  • their baptismal call to rejoice in and share the Good News of the Risen Jesus

  • the opportunity to meet and get to know other parishioners

  • the joy of a Christian who shares their God-given talents with others

  • the energy and enthusiasm generated when so many parishioners from many different walks of life come together

So, what are you waiting for? This could be your time to shine. You might even learn a few things about yourself. Is this the year for you to make a commitment to your parish and community?
