St. Vincent de Paul Society
We're volunteer members of a worldwide organisation founded in 1833. As local people who meet together on a regular basis, we're committed to sharing who we are and what we have with our neighbours. We visit people in their homes and care for people who are disadvantaged, aged, homeless, victims of drug abuse and domestic violence. Our aim is to "encourage people to take control of their own destinies".
We offer support, friendship and are committed to social justice. To do this, we refer people to appropriate services based on their needs and provide some material aid such as food parcels, vouchers, clothing or furniture.
